April Lipinski


Prior to joining Lafayette Group, April Lipinski worked on the State and Local Interoperability Grant Program (SLIGP) for the State of New Mexico. There she developed and implemented outreach and education activities for State, local, and tribal first responders regarding the roll-out of the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network (NPSBN) under the First Responders Network Authority (FirstNet).  April has created and revised emergency communications Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs) for various agencies including the New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) and the New Mexico Department of Health (DOH).  She also has extensive experience in developing and facilitating table top and full-scale exercises for public safety personnel.  After returning from Botswana where she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer combating HIV/AIDS, April began her career in emergency management with the American Red Cross in Post-Katrina New Orleans where she worked as an emergency services coordinator providing direct client assistance after disasters.

At Lafayette Group, April supports the Office of Emergency Communications (OEC) on the Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan (SCIP) and the Southwest Border Communications Working Group (SWBCWG).
