Ayesha Vaid


Ayesha Vaid brings to Lafayette Group over 5 years’ experience in policy and military strategy implementation to the firm. Previously, Ayesha worked for the Department of Defense in various aspects ranging from strategic communications, planning and programming, knowledge management, institutionalization of management reform initiatives, as well as policy implementation and governance. Most recently, Ayesha provided process and coordination support for the Deputy’s Management Action Group, a 4-star governance body chaired by the Deputy Secretary of Defense and the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  Ms. Vaid holds a Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Psychology and Political Science, and is currently enrolled in a Master’s program for Global Security Studies at Johns Hopkins University.

At Lafayette Group, Ms. Vaid provides communications and cybersecurity policy support for the Federal Network Resilience team as a part of the Office of Cybersecurity and Communications at the Department of Homeland Security.
