Brian Kempf


Brian Kempf joined the Lafayette Group in November of 2017. Previously, Brian worked for the Supreme Court of the United States as a police officer where he conducted numerous executive protection details for the Supreme Court Justices. Brian provided physical security and executive protection for the Justices at high-profile and large-scale security events like Presidential inaugurations, State of the Union Addresses, the Papal Visit, and Red Mass. He also performed courtroom security operations during Oral Arguments and was a member of his department’s Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical response team. As a police officer, he attended various law enforcement trainings, including tactical weapons courses, counter assault driving courses, and an interview techniques program. Additionally, Brian served in the Marine Corps Reserve for six years as an Engineer Mechanic. Brian holds a Master of Science in Defense and Strategic Studies from Missouri State University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

At the Lafayette Group, Brian supports the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Disaster Emergency Communications Division by assisting regional working groups, engaging with stakeholders, and updating emergency response plans.
