Ethan Brinkman-Hansen, MA, MS


Ethan Brinkman-Hansen brings extensive experience in public safety and emergency communications consulting to Lafayette Group. His past experience includes working closely with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), where he supported clients focused on Disaster Emergency Communications (DEC) efforts across the Nation to include FEMA’s efforts to align and modernize their disaster emergency communications capabilities. His support of FEMA also included emergency communications planning at the Federal, State, and local levels along with close coordination and stakeholder engagement across the 10 Regional Emergency Communications Coordination Working Groups (RECCWGs).

Mr. Brinkman-Hansen also worked with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Emergency Communications (OEC) where he supported clients in the advancement of interoperable and emergency communications efforts across the country through the development and revision of the Statewide Communication Interoperability Plans (SCIPs). In addition, he worked with several stakeholders across DHS components to facilitate the development of the first DHS Communications Interoperability Plan (DCIP).  A former volunteer firefighter, he holds an MS in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University, MA in International Relations from the University of Durham (UK), and a BA in Political Science from Sewanee: The University of the South.
