Kyra Murphy


Before joining Lafayette Group in 2017, Ms. Murphy provided program analysis and audit and investigation support to the U.S. Office of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction as an Analysts for Special Projects.  While there, she was responsible for producing special reports and inquiry letters resulting from the audits and inspections of federal agencies, contracts, and programs conducting work as part of the Afghanistan reconstruction efforts. In addition to her federal government work experience, Ms. Murphy served as the Brady K. Howell Fellow for National Security Studies and spent time at National Security Network as a graduate policy fellow. She obtained her M.P.A and her M.A. in International Relations from the Syracuse University Maxwell School of Public Affairs and Citizenship in 2016.   

At the Lafayette Group, Ms. Murphy provides cybersecurity policy support to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C) through aiding the Federal Network Resilience team work to enhance the resilience, efficiency, and reliability of critical DHS cybersecurity infrastructure and programs.
