Linda D. Edwards


Ms. Linda Edwards joined Lafayette Group in 2010 from the Police Foundation where she managed, coordinated, monitored and participated on-site in a nationwide community policing conference training and technical assistance program. She has coordinated training and technical assistance activities for community members that included participation by Governors, U.S. Attorneys, Mayors, police executives and grassroots organizations. Ms. Edwards has worked on programs involving immigration and the role of local law enforcement in the enforcement of federal immigration laws. She received her Master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins University.

At Lafayette Group, working on behalf of the Major Cities Chiefs Association, Ms. Edwards coordinates the outreach for support initiatives concerning current appropriations bills as they affect and relate to State and local law enforcement. She coordinated outreach and provided administrative management support to the Office of Emergency Communications (OEC) at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Ms. Edwards supports the National Center for Advanced Policing (NCAP) and also provides research assistance on various Lafayette Group training and technical assistance initiatives.
