Mario Stylianou, Jr., M.P.P.


Mr. Mario Stylianou, Jr. came to Lafayette Group to provide technology support and outreach services.  Before joining the Lafayette Group, Mr. Stylianou worked at the Methanol Institute in Washington, D.C. where he was responsible for briefing papers, newsletter articles, memos on Congressional hearings and testimony, and publications.  He also conducted research on new opportunities for methanol use and production.  As a Program Coordinator for the Maryland Leadership Institute, he coordinated a summer program of college seniors from around the country to take graduate level courses at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy.  In this capacity, he managed program finances, planned site visits to Federal agencies, and facilitated discussions.  He also served on Capitol Hill where he created and programmed a demographic cartography project.

Mr. Stylianou currently supports homeland security and emergency management-related projects that assist Federal, State and local agencies. He has worked in grants administration and program management support for multiple projects at DHS, including OEC, FEMA, and the PSIC Grant Program. His current efforts include cybersecurity training for protection of critical public safety communications infrastructure and training simulation for Communications Unit Leaders (COMLs). He also conducts statistical analysis, and is responsible for geographic information systems (GIS) projects at Lafayette Group.
