Amtrak to Further Enhance Emergency Communications Planning

Contract Extended

May 1, 2013

Lafayette Group Inc., as a sub-contractor to ICF, International, recently won a six-month contract extension with rail service provider Amtrak to enhance its emergency communications planning with Federal, State and local first responders in its service area that connects 46 States, the District of Columbia and three Canadian provinces.  Amtrak’s Emergency Management and Corporate Security Department approved the original contract in November 2012, and expanded the work to include the entire Amtrak rail system. In May 2013, the contract was again extended to allow for additional work.
