Lafayette Group Awarded $20 Million First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) Support Contract

Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center Pacific awarded Lafayette Group a prime contract to provide public safety broadband support services to the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet). The contract has a three-year period of performance and a total value of up to $20 million. “Lafayette Group is proud to support FirstNet as it deploys the first nationwide public safety broadband network. We are excited to continue our work on this critical program and to bring our mission understanding and experience to support and improve the communications capabilities of our Nation’s first responders,” said Chuck DeWitt, Chief Executive Officer for Lafayette Group.

FirstNet is an independent authority within the U.S. Department of Commerce with the mission to develop, build, and operate the nationwide broadband network to support first responders as they save lives and protect communities across the United States.

Under the contract, Lafayette Group will provide a broad scope of public safety broadband services, including strategic planning, consultation and outreach, product management, and data and content management. Lafayette Group will provide capabilities and expertise in the full range of technologies, operations, and consultation and outreach services needed to support the critical mission of FirstNet’s Office of the Chief Customer Officer (CCO).
