Lafayette Group Awarded $7.2 Million to Provide Support to the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet)

The Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center, Pacific, (SSC Pacific) awarded its first task order under the Multiple Award Contract (MAC) to Lafayette Group to provide programmatic support to the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet). FirstNet is an independent authority within the Department of Commerce and has been tasked by Congress to oversee the planning and deployment of the nation’s first public safety broadband network. Lafayette Group is pleased to support FirstNet in this important work, which includes programmatic support to FirstNet through strategic planning, outreach and consultation to the public safety stakeholder community, and state plan development.

Over the years, the Lafayette Group has supported clients throughout the public safety community and has worked with federal, state, and local partners to enhance public safety communications throughout the United States. With a diverse and experienced team, Lafayette Group combines an understanding of public safety operations with cutting-edge knowledge of the emerging tools and evolving technologies in the emergency communications field, including the use of broadband technologies.
