Emergency Communications Planning, Exercise, and Training - Pennsylvania

In 2010, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Regional Task Force contracted Lafayette Group to conduct an Operational Survey of the region in order to update and expand the Philadelphia Tactical Interoperable Communications Plan (TICP) and conduct a TICP validation exercise.  In addition, the Task Force requested a CASM data collection and entry effort, an All-Hazards Communication Unit Leaders (COML) Training Course, and the development of a field guide and regional strategic plan.  Lafayette Group designed and conducted an operational survey of all participating counties to gather information on the region’s interoperable communications environment, capabilities, and equipment. The survey data was then analyzed by Lafayette Group subject matter experts and utilized to inform a regional interoperability report.  In addition, Lafayette Group provided COML training session to approximately 30 area personnel. Lafayette Group instructors are approved COML trainers, who have delivered dozens of the National Incident Management Systems -compliant COML training courses across the country.
