Jessica Potter has 13 years of experience focused on developing strategic initiatives and leading teams across multiple public safety communications modernization efforts. She also has expertise in grants and federal funding mechanisms, as well as strategy and policy development implementation. In previous roles, she led and supported technology-focused grant and assistance programs related to public safety and technology development. For these programs (including the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program, State and Local Implementation Grant Program, Public Safety Interoperable Communications Grant Program, Interoperable Emergency Communications Grant Program), she assisted in the program design, facilitation of interagency coordination, and development of guidance for federal investments. She has also assisted clients such as the Wireless Management Office, Department of Army, Public Safety Wireless Network, and the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Emergency Communications on communications initiatives. She received her bachelor’s degree from James Madison University.

At the Lafayette Group, Jessica leads a team that supports a federal government client in the build out, deployment, and operation for a wireless nationwide public safety broadband network. She also leads efforts in strategic planning, content management, data collection, and outreach activities.
